Do you have no clue about what you want to do?
Despite hearing about other successful businesses and business owners, I realized that 90% of adults actually have no clue what they wanted out of life. I realized that half of people are just moving through everyday life, and that we’re all just trying to survive.
This made me realize that if nobody has any idea what they're doing, then I’ll just take a leap of faith and come up with a new plan of something that I actually want to do, instead of going to work for a job that wasn’t filling me up anymore. And if I can do it – so can YOU!
How my previous work prompted me to start my own business
I was working before at a local nonprofit called Delaware County. I really enjoyed my time working for this nonprofit because it gave me a lot of creative freedom – and this fluidity gave me an entry into understanding that it's okay to not have a plan. It's okay to not have an exact marketing plan. You can flesh it out over time and develop a campaign over time through simple research – and in this case, Google is your BFF.
For instance, when I was tasked to launch a campaign for that local nonprofit, all I did was research through Google and BAM! – that took their Instagram following from 18,000 followers to 500,000 followers in under a month.
When it worked, it made me think: Why couldn't I take this experience and apply that to other businesses as well? That’s when I decided that it was time for me to move on and start a business.
What traveling made me realize (and how it pushed me pushed me to reach my goals)
Shawn and I went to Dublin during St. Patty's Day. There, I saw how the Irish lived such ease in their life. They always want to be happy. Then, we went to Verona in Italy, one of the most beautiful cities I've ever been to. People were so warm there. Also, they don’t hate work, but they’re just loving life.
During my vacation, this convinced me about my idea of starting my own business. I realized that what I want is to become the CEO of my own company.
What’s important in a business?
It's important to know that there's a market there. The reality is, without testing, it would have been really hard for me to know. I ask myself if I was producing something that was worth value to business owners. So, before starting a business, ask yourself: “How can I make it valuable for my potential ideal client in the future?”

We come to the realization that many people in our world are not even sure what they want. This is because they don't give themselves the freedom to manifest anything.
If you want to start your own business, start ahead of time. You will have no regrets and what-ifs. Think about this: if no one else knows what they're doing with their lives, aren't we ahead of the game? Start now before it’s too late.
