What Can Help Make Yourself Become an Entrepreneur!

Have you ever heard about business anxiety? Entrepreneurs like us could get anxious at just about anything – from getting clients, paying the bills, and maintaining the business to working with our teams, and a lot more. I used to be in tuned to this little voice. I have been into this season of crazy business anxiety that I can’t even put a name to the feeling. The worst impact was the way the negative feeling trickled down to my business and my team. There was so much blaming going on that I realized I don’t want this kind of cycle.

While this is a real event for any person, I also want to tell you something. You have the power to move yourself – and your business – out of this anxious mindset towards abundance. I say this because I have been doing it for myself and finding that it truly worked. The keyword is GRATITUDE.

I have found the following principles to be very helpful for me in working my way out of this business anxiety towards becoming a true entrepreneur.

1. Awareness of the Negative Emotion

In my case, the business anxiety manifests itself in my personality as a sensitive person. I easily absorb the energy and emotions that are going on around me. I remember a not-so-proud moment of literally walking out of my former job just because of that anxious emotion that I picked up from the room. I have come to realize that it was crucial for me to see this was actually happening. It was when I realized this personality that I decided I have to initiate changes for myself for the better.

2. Finding Support

Aside from my immediate family, I would say I’m fortunate enough to be in a supportive relationship where someone could handle the lot that my mind could process. I could just talk to my boyfriend about how I was feeling and he would listen and respond in a way that totally gets to me. I am also thankful for my team who stuck it out with me all through this time. You need to find your own kind of community that will help you stay tough through the anxious days.

3. Learning to Cope

Believe it or not, a Justin Bieber song greatly taught me to find my footing in one word, and that is GRATITUDE. Being thankful has caused a great shift of my mindset from the negativity, anxiety, and blaming to recognizing the issue, feeling the moment, and then intentionally finding something to be grateful for.

How do I live by these principles as an entrepreneur?

When I decided to stop the negative cycle of business anxiety, I also approached my business differently. I do this by letting others know what I can do and what I’m good at. If they’re interested, then they could invest in me. If not, then I could recommend someone else who could better help them. The more I have built this mindset that I am only a channel to help others, the more I have liberated myself from the anxiety of business demands. When I have recognized that I am already thankful enough for the life given to me so that I can be a good resource to others, my business also started to go in the direction that I am truly passionate about.

Let this also be your end in mind. Be grateful for the opportunity that you could actually be someone’s resource. Manifest this abundant mindset. This is the mindset that will take you to greater heights.
