Identifying Patterns With Aoife Mind Body
Having a pattern is a beautiful thing. It is like software that we could use to run our daily lives as smoothly as possible. And we can also use these patterns to create healthy habits for our business.
There are a lot of uses we can think of with patterns, but we can also agree at some point that it can be hurtful. We need to understand these patterns. What makes them bad or good?
Together with our special guest Aoife Mind Body from Bali, we will discuss the effects of patterns, identify them, and ways to deal with them.
How do patterns affect us?
Our guest Aoife is an Irish living in Bali. Unlike other meticulous perfectionists, Aoife is a rusher.
The combination of being a rusher and a perfectionist took a toll on her mental health. Her patterns caused her to beat herself mentally whenever she made a mistake.
Aoife had a lot of different illnesses growing up. She had pyrexia without knowing where she got it from, a low immune system, and chronic pain diagnosed as fibromyalgia. It felt like there was no cure.
Then Aoife learned the deep connection between her mind and body. She realized that these patterns could manifest physically. It could hold back so much in our lives.
We can’t even realize these patterns because we are so used to them.
How do we identify these patterns?
Aoife began to identify the harmful patterns of perfectionism when she went to Bali. The level of fear and panic when she finally got to Bali was so intense, thinking that it was a great mistake.
We all have that safe zone and pattern that society created for us ever since we were born. And when we try to live differently, like Aoife going to Bali, it would lead us to identify something we couldn’t in the safe zone.
When Aoife left her support system, her old patterns started surfacing. Like her, we will only identify these patterns out of the comfort zone when it feels more uncomfortable.
How do we overcome these patterns?
Change is uncomfortable, but it is even more if you don’t change when you know you should. Your subconscious will start to feel threatened by change, but that is just because you are trying to get rid of something your brain used to think.
Overcoming these patterns would feel like a “swim or sink” situation, out of your comfort zone. So, here are some pointers you could use.
Have that desire to figure it out step-by-step.
Take hold of that determination to figure out the action steps yourself.
Trust your intuition.
Trust yourself and don’t fear what other people might say.
Put yourself first.
Consider yourself first before other people and do the things that liberate you.
The main point in overcoming patterns is to forget the conventional ways other people taught you. Then, create new software based on what made you, you.
Your mind holds the key to a change that cures.
Patterns not suited for our being signals pain all over our body. Stress could send chemicals through our body, adrenaline, and cortisol. And the key to being cured is also through the mind.
Aoife has been experiencing healing using the connection of mind and body. It might not fix it all, but maybe it could help.
