Integrating Witchcraft into Your Yoga Practice with Libby D

What are your thoughts on witchcraft? Have you thought of associating it with your yoga practice? It may seem like a unique combination, but it can also work wonders!

In this week’s latest episode, I shared our discussion with Libby D, a yoga teacher, tarot reader, and someone that practices witchcraft. She also works in public health and is in the process of becoming a mindset coach.

Libby and I delved into the world of astrology and witchcraft and how it applies to our daily lives. Whether this practice is aligned for you or not, it’s refreshing to enter and see a new perspective that might have a great impact on your routine and soul.

Yoga and The Different Signs

Libby shared with me the basics of Astrology and how she incorporates all of it with yoga.

The learnings and knowledge of astrology have been affluent in humanity since it studies how astronomical bodies can influence the lives and nature of a person.

We can break down Astrology into 12 signs. The astrological year starts with Aries and then ends with Pisces. And it has all of the Water, Earth, Air, and Fire signs.

Everything is all a mix, and Libby had multiple ways to go into astrology in yoga. She tends to base yoga poses rooted on what sign the moon is. She looks at the Moon transit, and she makes each of the signs seem like it rules over a part of her body.

This revitalizing practice can amp up our bodies and connect or reopen ourselves to that part.

There can be so many poses that can help open up different meditations, and you can try experimenting with whatever feels best for you.

Choose Your Cup Of Tea

Libby also teaches Herbology in Yoga. Different herbs can have unique benefits for everyone. Chamomile is relaxing, Lavender can be calming, and Black Tea energizes anything.

However, it is important to choose the herb you prefer.

Just like in life, you don’t have to force yourself to do something you know you’re not going to like. Be more open and accept the preference and habits that you naturally love doing.

Enjoying your choices and deeds can be the most beneficial to your lifestyle and mental health.

Everybody Has a Coping Skill

In life, we’re going to have slumps. We’re going to have slow periods, and we’re going to have moments where we’re not doing as much as we feel.

We all have our coping mechanisms.

Libby chooses Taro as one of her coping skills. For her, Tarot reading helps her and her clients navigate their thoughts and get out of their heads. She also takes deep breaths in those two-minute breaks which are a huge factor that helps her get through the day.

During the hard and slow moments, we should know that we are allowed to give ourselves that extra rest. So think deeply about what works for you and grasp that power.

Flow With Your Healing Journey

Wherever you are, and no matter what state you are in, you should not feel the pressure of needing to push yourself further into your healing journey. You don’t need to take the step that you aren’t ready for.

Forcing things will do more damage than good.

Eventually, you’ll get to a point where you’ll be ready and you’ll have the perfect energy for that moment, just like how Libby found witchcraft to be a part of what makes her happy.

Everybody should also have the opportunity to do what makes them feel the brightest. It may not be everyone’s cup of tea, and people may have different perceptions of it, but this is your journey, and as long as you are healthy and you feel your light, you’ll live a life filled with growth and positivity.
